MM Retail (the “App”) is developed and operated by MM Axia (Private) Limited (“MM Axia”, “we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use MM Retail, how we use it, and the limits of our responsibility.

1. Information You Provide

When you sign up and use MM Retail, you may provide:

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• Your business name, address, registration / CR number, VAT / tax number
• Records about your customers, suppliers, products, sales, purchases, expenses, payments, staff, and any other business data you choose to enter

2. Information Collected Automatically

We may collect device information (model, OS version), app usage data, and error / crash reports through Google Firebase services (including Crashlytics and Analytics). This helps us identify and fix bugs.

If you use the free plan, the App shows advertising provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device’s advertising ID and related signals to serve and measure ads, as described in Google’s privacy policy. Paid plans do not show ads.

3. Contacts

The App never reads or uploads your contact list. If you tap “Import from contacts” when creating a customer or supplier, the standard Android contact picker opens and only the single contact you choose (name and phone number) is copied into your own business records. The App does not request the contacts permission.

4. Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Safepay, a payment provider regulated in Pakistan. Your card or wallet details are entered on Safepay’s secure checkout — we never receive or store your card number. We receive only a confirmation of the payment (plan, amount, and payment reference) to activate your subscription.

5. Where Your Data Is Stored

All business data you enter is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). Firebase is operated by Google LLC and is subject to Google’s own privacy and security practices. We do not host the data on our own servers. Your data is associated with your authenticated account and is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest by Google’s infrastructure.

If you enable Backup & Restore, a backup file of your shop’s data is saved to your own Google Drive account (or a local file you choose). That backup lives under your control, in your storage — we have no access to it.

6. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the MM Retail service to you
• To diagnose and fix technical problems
• To communicate with you about your account when necessary (e.g. password reset, critical app updates)

We do NOT sell, rent, or lease your personal data or business data to any third party. Data is shared only with the service providers that make the App work: Google Firebase (storage, authentication, crash reporting, analytics), Google AdMob (ads on the free plan), and Safepay (subscription payments).

When you share an invoice, receipt, or statement via WhatsApp or another app, that sharing happens only when you tap the share button, and the document goes directly from your device to the app you chose.

7. Your Responsibility for Your Own Data

• You are responsible for keeping your own backups. MM Retail makes a best-effort to store your data securely on Firebase, but we make no guarantee that data will never be lost, corrupted, or temporarily unavailable. We strongly recommend exporting reports and records periodically.
• You are responsible for who has access to your account. Sharing your login credentials with others is at your own risk.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of business records you enter. We do not validate, audit, or guarantee the correctness of any financial entries, tax computations, or accounting figures.
• You are responsible for compliance with all tax, accounting, consumer protection, and data protection laws applicable to your business in your jurisdiction, including any obligations you have toward your own customers whose details you store in the App.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You may delete your business or your entire account, along with all associated data, at any time from the in-app Settings → Delete Account screen. Once you delete, the data cannot be recovered.

9. Children

MM Retail is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Limitation of Liability

MM Axia (Private) Limited and MM Retail shall not be liable for, and you expressly release us from any claim arising from, any of the following:

• Any loss, corruption, or unavailability of data, whether due to user error, software malfunction, third-party service failure (including but not limited to Google Firebase), network outage, hardware failure, or any other cause.
• Any breach of data resulting from compromise of your device, your account, your credentials, or from a failure of any third-party service used by the App.
• Any loss of business, revenue, profit, goodwill, opportunity, or reputation arising from the use of or inability to use MM Retail.
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages.

Use of MM Retail is at your own risk and is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. See our Terms of Service for additional limitations.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be available in-app and on this page, and will show the new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of MM Retail after changes constitutes acceptance.
